I remember seeing White trucks everywhere when I was a kid. White motors in Cleveland employed people I know today. Those were bad ass trucks. I drove one for a time hauling scrap metal. The company also had IH Paystars, Autocars and Macks with steel front ends. Back then trucks had style unlike today. This Toyota looked to have been restored and it was beautiful. A friend of mine has an 84 just like it except his is red with tan interior. He bought it new...had to have AC put on, no radio, no rear bumper. Bed comes off because that's where most body work will be required. New paint, interior...Mine came with factory 3 inch diameter tubular roll bar and rear bumper. I also have a full front bush rack with 6000 lb Ramsey winch... Don't see many of the 1st Gen Toys about much...I've seen them sell for $30K on fleabay. Won't be anytime too soon though...Right now I just started sanding the wheels on my 520H. Them I'll move on to restoring the 48 inch deck. After that I have a leaf sucker (Easy Vac) that I am being reminded I need right now. Blow into about 3 piles...then put in 10cf cart behind tractor and haul to street...about 20 to 30 trips at least. Neither Trina nor I enjoys mowing as much as alot of other activities so we don't try to grow more grass. Yard isn't big enough to justify a Horse mower anyway. Before that was the infamous Oldsmobile 5.7 diesel. Car ONLY (AFAIK). Olds diesel looked great on paper but didn't do well in real world usage. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

JCM 9,130 #699 Posted December 8, 2020 I bought a 1978 F-150 4x4 shortbed 4 speed manual 300 straight six and only kept it for 3 or 4 years because the drivers side floor pan around the body mount was starting to rot bad so in 86 I ordered the 86 K-20. But I did like that shortbed Ford a lot. Was not a fan of the white spoke rims but were on it when I bought it. He was a diesel mechanic. Literally THE guy the fire department called on and all the local truckers went to. That car..... Every few ((choose favorite time division)) bring in the shop.
