My neighbor just got this neat 1971 IH.  Helped ho get it running enough to park it but no brakes.  i am clearing some space in the barn so he can get it out of the weather until he can work on it. 345 V-8 4 wheel drive 4 spd and lift gate....

That’s a great truck, they are hard to find not all rusted out. That would make a great horse hauler.

I found the photo albums of my vehicles and toys over time..

Seems like the common thread the ties these all together is a tow cable pulling you out of what ever you got stuck in.    :ychain:

So, when I first saw this truck last night, I knew that it needed to be shared.  Then I looked underneath.  When it’s built to tow, I wish someone would be more considerate of the frame than what they did here!  I wouldn’t trust the welds personally, plus the top and bottom of the frame were left not welded.  That pretty much killed the integrity of the frame!

Also, there was this slick Silverado at the track.  It’s not all too often you find one from the 99-02 body style that’s still clean and shined up here!

There are vintage trucks all over down here.  We are in the little town of Landrum, SC just walking from shop to shop when I saw this beauty...

That's not what I would call it. No chance of passing a road worthy test over here. Scrap yard.

Drove beside this “double Dodge delight” off and on for about 45 minutes today!  Truck reminded me of a white version of Jim’s and that Dart—well...

IT speaks for itself!

My son’s white truck graveyard. Bottom pic is what the regular cab looked like when he got it. Hopefully it’s about to make a comeback. He’s doing an LS swap in it.

@ebinmaine that belongs to one of his friends. He had one just like it, but shortbed, that got hit in the front and totaled. He is cutting the frame and using the bed off that to make this one a shortbed to replace the one he lost. He has a crewcab, shortbed dually that my son welded the frame on that they body dropped. Haven’t seen it in a while though.

@19richie66

Cool stuff.

I've always had kind of a "thing" for crew cabs for some reason... Loooong before they became a standard as they are today.

I once had a mid 80's GM with an 8' bed.

I'd like another one someday...

My great uncle bought it new in Opp, Alabama 1990. He had it up until my son turned 16 and my dad bought it for him. He wanted my Jeep cherokee at the time so I took the truck. The bottom picture is how it was when I had it before he got it. 😁

Would that have been a 3+3?  I think those are the ultimate truck!

I wonder if the heated seat and steering wheel still operate correctly?

if you're sitting in the seat it's heated. If you're holding the steering wheel, that will be heated as well.

So I'm going to say yes. They both work perfectly fine.
