JCM 9,168 #1129 Posted October 30, 2022 Been a while since I have posted any pics on here. Usually on Saturday or Sunday mornings I pull the 86 K-20 out of the garage and do a 20 to 30 mile ride through the country side. Odometer turned 105,000 this morning. Seasons are changing by the look of the dual exhaust. 3 3

WHGuy413 2,685 #1135 Posted October 31, 2022 How is this for vintage?? My Fire department owns this. I spear headed getting it running and driving again 2 years ago when my cousin Jack passed away. Being a former member of our department he was given his final ride on it. Jack was an avid fire truck collector. He favorite being his Aherns-Fox. He sold his collection over the years. Our towns 350th birthday is coming up in June and the guy who helped get it running before has recruited help from another avid collector and we are going to go over everything mechanical top to bottom this winter. Today we towed it to his garage because of course it did not want to start. 1931 Ford Model AA Fire truck. First motorized firetruck in my town. 2
c-series don 8,708 #1136 Posted October 31, 2022 Here’s my fire departments 1978 K-30 still in service, I took this picture yesterday. It originally was our light and salvage truck that had an enclosed utility body on it. It is now part of our dive team and usually tows an 18’ enclosed trailer with all the diving gear in it. I drove it yesterday and it just turned 12,000 miles!

RandyLittrell 3,879 #1143 Posted November 1, 2022 Drug this home from Western Kansas last week. 86 Ford Bronco and Ol' Blue got 15 mpg on the way out and 10 mpg with the Bronco on the trailer. Pretty happy with that, the truck has 240,000 miles on it. It's not running yet, only hitting on about 1 cylinder. It's just got 85,000 miles with the 300 efi 6. Hopefully I can do a tune up and full service and it will run. If not, I joined the FSB forum and already have lots of info of how to swap out the computer controled carb and ignition. We really bought it to help him out with money without just giving him money and he ended up passing away an hour after we left. He was my wifes Biological Dad, but was never really a Dad sadly enough. I made three 800 mile round trips to western kansas in the last two weeks! JCM 9,168 #1150 Posted November 5, 2022 Another picture of the 86 K-20 back in 1999 when I had to put this truck to work for 3 years as a result of an accident with my 88 R-30 chassis cab with utility / panel body. This is a Reading space cap all steel made in Reading P.A. this is one of 3 new truck bodies from them. Very satisfied with their products, 2 steel and 1 aluminum. Was able to sell this cap and recoup a nice amount for it and put that towards the aluminum panel body for the 2002 Chevy K-3500 dual wheel chassis cab. 2
