If I remember correctly I think I can squeeze 12 MPG out of this one, small block. Don't drive it much @Horse Newbie

Nice!  I'd love to have one of those.  Looks like a stepside?

Yours?

For Sale?

Mitsubishi made a pretty good truck from what I hear, but it disappears sitting beside a 5 window…

I found a cab to a GMC of that era that was buried in brush and dirt out on my property. It had been there so long the metal was paper thin in some spots. While clearing some more last weekend, I found the passenger door and part of the hood sheetmetal with the GMC logo still on it. Dash door chrome was perfect. I guess they just pushed it over the little ridge I’m clearing years ago and left it. Haven’t found all the rest.

I’m not sure if this falls under vintage trucks or equipment or both! Anyway I spotted this Mobile sweeper a few towns over from me and thought it looked pretty cool! Looks like the cab was made by Mobile as well as the sweeper itself, because I saw no other badging on the cab.

1954 Buick Special. My very first car was a 1956 Buick Special. Cost a whole $65. A real chick magnet, let me tell ya.

Now it‘s worth at least more than 6 hundrets of that value.

Because of the chick magnet - is still on it , even today... 😂

Since 1954 and 1956 were mentioned above, I was just trying to set the record straight.

54, 55 56, all had the holes in the fenders. In 1956 they were elongated. I can't tell the difference between the 54 and 55 holes. It may well be a 55.:confusion-shrug:

Then look at the big chrome upper lip on the front and double chrome returns on the bumper.

This beauty was parked next door today. When you live in NY it's rare to see an older truck that isn't rotted away.

The body and bed are, yes, astonishing but the inside of that door is gonna be a disaster. :) :(

It's pretty solid for its age. My truck isn't quite vintage yet. It's a 2004 with 30k on it.
