seven 202 #1 Posted December 17, 2017 It will only stay running when I shoot a little fuel in carb. So decided to pull carb off when I took the bowl off I could see the needle was stuck in there so I took it out and the little rubber tip was making it stick.is there either different needle for this? the other question is the needle supposed to be connected to the float cause mine is not? KC9KAS 4,741 #2 Posted December 17, 2017 There would be a small wire that connected the float to the needle valve,
seven 202 #3 Posted December 18, 2017 Thx but my needle doesn't have a collar for a clip to go into?
skrusins 128 #4 Posted December 18, 2017 If I remember I've seen them both ways. If you hadn't problems in the past then clean it up. You can also look up the rebuild kit for that carb and it will tell you what you need or not.
BOB ELLISON 2,980 #5 Posted December 18, 2017 Seems to me that I read a service bulletin that kohler changed to the wire connection type needle valve for that very reason. I got a rebuild kit for $15.00 and replaced mine.
seven 202 #6 Posted December 18, 2017 This isn't the first time it's done that so definitely need to find out where to get the newer parts
pfrederi 17,518 #7 Posted December 18, 2017 If your engine has a Walbro Fixed jet carb there is no connecting clip.
