neil 2,410 #1 Posted November 8, 2017 I recently commissioned a young guy to carry out a reproduction of the wheelhorse sudurban sign , I think he has made a pretty smart job of it . Made from a plastic vinyl film over clear glass and contoured with lead . He has done such a nice job I now intend to have a few more designs done . 15 15

c-series don 9,218 #23 Posted November 11, 2017 Ok, ok enough is enough. How much is it going to cost me/us to get one of those across the pond? I would love to have one of those. Since I don't have much more room to store tractors instead and I refuse to store them outside, signage is the next best thing!!! I meant inside!
Oldarmy 113 #24 Posted November 12, 2017 Very nice indeed. Being a sometimes actual stained glass artist myself I appreciate the craftsmanship. I recently purchased a vinyl plotter/cutter and may have to make something like this. A vinyl cutter allows one to cut out very intricate shapes from adhesive backed vinyl sheets in a multitude of colors. The lead adhesive backed strips used in the type of work shown gives the appearance of the "lead Came" used in traditional stained glass window construction and has a very authentic appearance I must say. Well done !
