PeacemakerJack 10,738 #7 Posted November 5, 2017 Any pics of the GT’s plowing? How were the soil conditions? How did your horse do? I love the pictures for sure, now just curious how the day went...

T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,512 #10 Posted November 6, 2017 Just the one picture of the GTs plowing. We only had about 10 GTs. The Horse did okay, but at the risk of being blasphemous, my old John Deere 316 Onan was a far better plow tractor than the 416-8. Unfortunately I sold the 316 a couple of years back. Front end a bit light, and it lost more traction than I like, but I also didn't get the plow dialed in as good as I would have liked.
PeacemakerJack 10,738 #11 Posted November 6, 2017 (edited) @T-Mo I know it would be a really big run for you but if Jim @WHX12 lands that field again next year down the road from him, you would love plowing this soil here... Lots of time to test and tune without someone giving you grief. The soil is so light that it doesn’t take much power to pull. Keep it in the back of your brain for a future run to cheddar country. Thanks for the pictures and description of your weekend. Except for my garden (a small one), this plowing season is finished for me...I really would like to make a spring plow date next year.
