HENRYG 34 #1 Posted October 16, 2017 Hey all, I've been given a 552 in pieces my only other WH's are pull start RJs . Can someone tell me if the 552 use's a solenoid for the key switch the manual shows a non descript three prong thinger with no name on it, and the parts list doesn't mention one but there are a few In the box of parts I was given . Thanks HenryG. Yes I'm aware of the starter switch, but the key switch is what I'm asking about it shows only one wire going to a non descript component on the wiring diagram ? wallfish 16,773 #6 Posted October 17, 2017 On the plastic board you will see a wire coming out from behind the flywheel and connected to a single post. That's your kill for the switch. (usually upper left corner but they do get reinstalled upside down sometimes). The other 2 wires from under the flywheel will go to the fuses and diodes for charging the battery.
