Adams94 1,068 #1 Posted October 15, 2017 I need the middle spindle shaft for this deck, is there a manual or parts manual on here. I want this deck for my 520-8, I believe the bearings are good. The key way on the shaft that goes in the pulley busted so the shaft is junk. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,032 #2 Posted October 15, 2017 Click on the picture and download the files from that page Your pulleys were originally held on by a lock nut. If you can get the pulley to spin freely on the shaft without the key, leave the key out and replace the lock nut with a regular nut and regular lock washer. The natural rotation of the shaft will keep the nut tight. This is how the later models were assembled and there is a service bulletin on this change. daveoman1966 3,745 #4 Posted October 17, 2017 I have the SPINDLE SHAFT for your 48" mower deck. This has the WOODRUFF KEY on the top end and the threads are good on both ends of it too.
