formariz 11,994 #1 Posted September 23, 2017 Has anyone used or considered a boat seat for their horses? A couple of weeks ago I was browsing through Cabela's and came across the boat seat section. Not only they are relatively inexpensive comparing them to a good quality tractor seat they are very well made with many flexible mounting options. They are made to marine standards making them very durable. Most have a nice high back which tilts forward. They are a little color full but I am tempted to try one.

stevasaurus 23,072 #3 Posted September 23, 2017 Just happen to have one my Dad put on the 857. You are right Paul...has a high comfortable back that folds down, and is very will made.
squonk 42,573 #4 Posted September 23, 2017 For a "non-tractor seat " that is excellent!

maxiblue 352 #6 Posted September 23, 2017 I have a boat seat on my towable backhoe, that replace the stock seat pan after it rusted out. Cost $34.95 at Kmart better then paying 125 at tractor supply foe a cheap tractor seat, and it more nicer on my butt too.

Tankman 3,520 #8 Posted September 24, 2017 Found curbside a totaled Jazzy. Arm rests were totaled, seat was gray. Seat folds down, drilled mounting holes (cover 'n padding easily removed (snaps), was gray. Duplicolor Vinyl & Fabric Black spray paint, did the trick. Seat folds down, very comfy too.

It is a space killer but well worth the inconvenience. Edited September 24, 2017 by Retierd Wrencher

stevasaurus 23,072 #14 Posted September 24, 2017 @Retierd Wrencher...the roller is not Wheel Horse, but my Dad painted it to look like it. It does do a really good job.
