Achto 27,751 #1 Posted September 15, 2017 (edited) Has any one tried putting a smaller pulley on the transmission? I'm thinking on matching the engine pulley in size, this would turn the pump at a full 3600RPMs. I know some other brands use a direct drive to their hydro pumps. I'm wondering if the increased RPMs would harm the Eaton pump? Edited September 15, 2017 by Achto
T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,512 #2 Posted September 17, 2017 I'm not sure what result you will get by resizing the pulley. Maybe increase speed, but at what expense to the rest of the power train? Not sure.
WHX?? 49,155 #3 Posted September 19, 2017 Same here Dan ...you wanna ski behind it don't ya?!?! I would stick with the Cubs you wanna do that...then again wouldn't hurt to try? These 1100's are pretty tuff so I would think they would take it. I say go for it if you want to buy the different belt and pulley!
Achto 27,751 #4 Posted September 19, 2017 I've decided to contact Eaton before I try this. I want spec's on maximum input RPM's. Don't want to cause cavitation in the pump and destroy things.
