clueless 2,976 #1 Posted August 12, 2017 How high is the highest deck setting? Anyone know what the height in inches is for each hole in the quadrant?
doc724 925 #2 Posted August 12, 2017 Height depends on the deck. Lowest setting is roughly 1 inch, highest is about 3, meaning each notch is 1/2 inch increment (at least this is the way the literature tells it). Actual heights are lower if you measure from a flat surface (garage floor) to the underside of the blade. xi decks can go up to 4 inches (literature reference)
Anglo Traction 761 #3 Posted August 12, 2017 Just checked a 36" RD I'm working on and it's like Don (doc724) says, each increment raises or lowers 1/2". On this one, the Deck is right on horizontal at the lowest setting measuring from the front Anti Scalp wheel to the Gauge Wheel(s). that sets the Blade Height to again as Don says of 1" and up to a max of about 3 1/2" . This Deck was found to have had the forward Limit Tab cut off (blue arrow), and so will drop down even lower than an Inch. not that I'll risk it, even though it has a Stop Bolt fitted (not visible)
