Rough Cut 25 #1 Posted August 11, 2017 My paint question is a bit different. It is probably a preference type question. Here goes. When re doing a tractor, is it ok to do a more "non traditional" paint color? One of the reasons to redo a tractor is to make it your own. I'm not talking about going and painting your horse Steiger green or anything. But im really considering red frame, wheels belt guard and then a white hood and grill. I'm working on 704. rjg854 11,617 #2 Posted August 11, 2017 It's your tractor, do what you want to do with it. Some owners like to keep them as original as possible, others don't worry so much about that. Do your thing, if others don't appreciate it and you are bothered by that then you can always paint it again. If you plan on keeping it, build it the way you want it and paint it to your tastes. At the end of the day, it's your machine and as long as you like it that's what's most important. I have seen some really odd looking modifications and paint jobs through the years. However, I've seen others that made me think, "why didn't they paint 'em like that from the factory?"
