Wheelman817 21 #1 Posted August 7, 2017 Hi everyone. I'm having some trouble mounting my dozed blade to my 520h. 48 inch blade with the extension but I can't get it to mount up right with the axle bracket. Could it be that I have the wrong bracket? I thought most of the axle brackets were the same. My old 312-8 was simple. Any pics of how your mounts up in the rear would definitely help. Thanks so much in advance. Jerry77 1,218 #4 Posted August 7, 2017 The top part of your axle bracket is missing...or did you just not put it in the picture?..
daveoman1966 3,745 #5 Posted August 7, 2017 They alll mount the same....on the B C and 300-400-500 series.
R. L. Addison 299 #6 Posted August 7, 2017 (edited) Don't the locking ears (movable levers that hold the blade frame in the axle bracket) go on the outside of the bracket and the opposite way? Edited August 7, 2017 by R. L. Addison Messed up
Wheelman817 21 #7 Posted August 7, 2017 It has two plates that go on top of the axle correct? 4 lag bolts go up and around the axle, through the plates?

Wheelman817 21 #9 Posted August 7, 2017 Would it be possible for the frame extension on the plow to be upside down?
daveoman1966 3,745 #10 Posted August 7, 2017 Does this help??
Wheelman817 21 #11 Posted August 7, 2017 Yes it does, and mine is exactly the same way. The problem I'm having, is when I install the axle bracket, the crossbar on the bracket seems to be in the way of the plow frame extension and won't let it lock in. daveoman1966 3,745 #12 Posted August 7, 2017 MAYBE you have the rear axle bracket on backwards. That crossbar MUST be toward the front of the tractor./
Wheelman817 21 #13 Posted August 7, 2017 I'll try it again. That's how I had it...lol
littleredrider 409 #14 Posted August 7, 2017 My 520-8 came with a plow w/extension, as well as the axle bracket. My bracket doesn't have the L shaped pieces, but bolts on just fine. Only issue I ran into was the plow frame rubbing on the tranny pulley. I just moved the bracket over a 1/4" or so and now it's fine.
Wheelman817 21 #15 Posted August 7, 2017 Ok, so I tried it again and it seems I finally got the rear locked in. Not sure why I had so much trouble to begin with. I thank you all very much for your help. I absolutely love this site!

Sarge 3,463 #17 Posted August 8, 2017 There's a bit of a trick to getting the A frame on the front blade/plow to line up on center with the tractor - if it's not centered properly that rear bracket is an absolute pain to get it to lock into the slots . It's the worst with the D series 56" blades due to their weight difference . Sarge
