What 3 speeds will interchange?

I've got a 502 that the reverse has some noise to it. I've got a chance to buy a 855 with a 3 speed in it... will this work? I've heard something with the brake tab...

Needing a 3 speed for my 502 which will interchange.  I've got a 855 will that work?

It will be a direct bolt in. The 5049 in the 855 has updated shift rails over the 5025 in the 502.

Any thoughts about opening the 5025 up and fixing it? It's really pretty simple and you can get all the help you need right here.

The transmissions that will bolt right in with no changes or fabrications...#5007, #5025(your 502), #5046, #5048, #5049 (your 855) and the #5053.  Yes that trans will bolt right in.    What is wrong with the trans on the 502?  Don't you dare throw it out...they are all fixable.
