ACman 7,628 #9 Posted August 5, 2017 Funny thing is I grew up in a family owned Allis Chalmers AG dealership and I don't even own one . We didn't sell lawn and garden because the local hardware sold Simplicity . I do believe though these are both 64's . Neither run but really haven't tried . Couldn't pass them up because they were cheap .

Jim Demery 404 #11 Posted August 6, 2017 Got er finished tonight. Nothing left to do but install the seat when it gets here next week. Just now, Jim Demery said: Got er finished tonight. Mary Gearhart, in Columbus OH makes the best Allis Chalmers garden tractor seats I've seen, and very reasonable.
ACman 7,628 #12 Posted August 6, 2017 (edited) I think I'm keeping the Broadmoor and going to let the Landlord find a new home . If it has been repainted, it was long ago and done very well . Do you know of anyone who reupholsters a simplicity seat or sells repops ? These seats seem to rare as hens teeth . I love mine in their original clothes but I love a great seat ! Yours sure will look great when you get your seat on ! Edited August 6, 2017 by ACman

I used New Holland yellow since it's darn near impossible to find the right color for a 49 year old garden tractor.

chip61 664 #25 Posted March 23, 2018 I just found this thread-that machine turned out great! Here is a pic of mine-it's a good "10-footer", but I was using it to work at the time so I just did a quick clean up and paint. Our neighbor bought it new, and I bought it from his estate back in 2008. That B & S 12hp has tons of torque!!!
