Elkskin's mower junkyard 1,117 #1 Posted July 24, 2017 (edited) So since my dad passed yesterday. i got to thinking about expanding the working pad i put in earlier this year. i pulled up all the blocks from infront of my shed. i been having rain getting into my shed anyway because it basically funnels it in. so i got dads second favorite tractor out and went to work removing the dirt that needed to be moved. then i started laying down the blocks. it turned out pretty good. they are not level but that doesnt matter. its better than laying on the sand. i got the tractor stuck twice today lol This was the most work this tractor seen in months. partially due to a good winter. and then when dad got sick it was not used. Mike.... yes it originally came with a briggs. i still have original engine in parts shed. but it needs rebuilt. this engine is a 1989 8 hp briggs and its been rebuilt once (could of stood a bore job but funds were low at time it puffs under load still, but alot better than constant smoke like it was before rebuild). this tractor originally had the 3 speed cast iron peerless trans. well after the second one went i told dad enough of this. i found a 1972 custom 10xl split the frames put the 10xl back frame on the compact 8e and that made dad enjoy this tractor even more since it has a hi and low trans now. lol Edited July 24, 2017 by craftsmanmowerfreak
