Tuneup 1,433 #28 Posted July 25, 2017 I hear ya! We bought an old Kawasaki (1980 KZ750) and just broke the bead on the rear to replace it - green slimy goop everywhere. We have yet to do the front and, given that adjusting pressure gives us bubbles from the valve, not looking forward to it.
elcamino/wheelhorse 9,357 #29 Posted July 25, 2017 Up date on my tire fun. Hated the work to get the tube and tire off , but glad I did. It took me over an hour with a wire brush on a 4 inch grinder to cut the crud and rust off the inside of the rim. If had let it tire and rim alone , the rim would have rust from the inside out. Tomorrow I will prime the rim but unsure what kind of paint to put on the inside . Suggestions please.
953 nut 55,910 #30 Posted July 27, 2017 This product from Eastwood is about as tough as anything in a rattle can. Be sure to follow the instructions. Not a very manly thing to do, but the instructions are important on this. http://www.eastwood.com/ew-extreme-chassis-black-satin-aerosol-14-oz.html
