Guess What ?? Wheel Horse Parts You Don't See Very Often!

Here are some pictures of two parts for a Wheel Horse you do not see very often !

 

These were on a pre- 1965 Wheel Horse.

 

I will post the pictures and let members  review and see if they know what these were used by Wheel Horse for on one of their tractors.

Maybe some sort of Mount for a cigarette lighter?

I don't know much about the older models but I'm gonna guess it's a mount for a switch maybe, to add electric start?

Odd mounting piece! Cigar lighters didn't come until later and they were on the dash. I have seen old headlight "step-on" switches or starter switches mounted, but this is different!

Looks like one mounting bracket is mounted to the other. the 1 bracket has tabs as to accept some sort of twist and turn, like a light socket? Reverse light? What is that diameter? What is odd is the other end of the bracket: a half-round yoke????

my best guess is gonna be the bracket that mounts the switch...

for the Suburban's accessory, HL-5 light kit.

OK second guess. Maybe a seat switch or safety switch of sorts for a 953/1054? Or possibly a original rear light bracket for 953/1054?

It doesn't look like an original taillight bracket that came on the 953-1054's which were welded on.

HERE IS THE ANSWER FOLKS:

 

 

These two brackets were used on the 953 bottom seat and were positioned to hold the seat bottom in place.  I never saw one on a 1054 so maybe they learned the bottom seat did not move very much.   Three wood screws on each bracket went into the plywood  seat bottom material.

 

I do not have a picture with them on the original seat bottom I bought several years ago as it was all deteriorated.
