PeacemakerJack 10,738 #1 Posted July 10, 2017 I'm sure many of you have heard someone in your life saying, "you should do this, you'd really enjoy it!" Sometimes it takes years for that to finally happen and once it does, you see that they were right! That was me with this show...My cousin Mike has been coming to this for since it's inception and tells me every year that I'd enjoy it. This year I didn't have a choice because I was picking up a 953 from @Shynon and so it was a sure thing. What a show! I couldn't believe the variety of tractors and antiques. All the popular brands were there in large quantities but so were many unique tractors like @Achto and his McLean and this Beaver... It never ceases to amaze me how simple these early tractors were and how rapidly they changed and progressed, if the company was able to stay in business. Dan's toys! Jim had a great display and seemed to have fun running around on one of his @WHX11 tractors throughout the day! Thank you Jim and the Mrs. For watching my boys a couple of different times throughout the day when they were tired of walking. They loved hanging out by you guys under your canopy tent! My boys in front of another nice row of Horses. There were lots of common tractors like this JD 140. All kinds of fun stuff in the swap area. The boys loved these old kids helmets. The rivalry continues... These are a few of my Cousin Mikes tractors. He always brings at least four down. I loved this rig! Every time I saw it, I laughed... Cool case custom built orchard tractor copy! This guy does amazing work. My dad and mom were at the Princeton Flee market in the morning(not far away) and I had been sending some pics to them of the show. They decided to come over in the afternoon. So we walked around together And this is where I had the 953 sitting. Dad saw it and was asking some questions about it. I didn't tell him that it was mine/soon to be his. He thought it was a really cool tractor and ahead of its time for a 1963 model. I can't wait to see his face when he realizes that it is his! A nice collection of New Holland tractors. Lots of Cubs too. I hooked up with some of my cub friends I've met out at the plow days as well. All in all it was a really fun day and I plan to come to this show in the future. Next year, I'll bring a few more tractors along with me and hopefully my whole family. I highly suggest you put this show on your "I should go to this one" list because I think it is only going to continue to grow... 10
WHX?? 48,815 #2 Posted July 10, 2017 This is always a nice show since it's 100% GT's. Lots of Wheel Horses there this year, more than double last year. Quite a few RS members there as well. Seems to be an annual pilgrimage for a few folks. Among the high lights was Dan @Achto getting best in show runner up with His Mclean! More Pics to come as the day permits. Enjoy! @PeacemakerJack on his new to him 953! 11

WHX?? 48,815 #4 Posted July 10, 2017 (edited) Your stealing my thunder Josh! That's ok...I got the funny pictures! The Beaver was one of my favs as well. BTW that's @wheelhorseman wife on the toilet tractor with Lowell keeping a close eye on! Guess she really had to go! Always nice visiting with them. Dan explaining his Mclean at the parade! Dan throwing his belt just afterwards! Behind him and mentioned in the other Portage thread Mr. Hill who also was a runner up. Achto 27,570 #5 Posted July 10, 2017 (edited) Jim!! @KC9KAS had started a post on this show also, but something must have went wrong with it and it was removed. If he could try some of his pics on this post, that would be great. I'll post some more pics tonight. Edited July 10, 2017 by Achto

PeacemakerJack 10,738 #9 Posted July 10, 2017 Sorry Jim! apparently we both had the same idea...AT THE SAME TIME! Maybe the moderators can combine our threads... congrats Dan on that runner-up title for best of show. That is really saying something when you consider the volume of tractors in the show! You deserve it though. A very unique and rare tractor that you worked tirelessly on. The results speak for themselves. Make sure one of you guys talks about the chain pile contest...

WHX?? 48,815 #17 Posted July 10, 2017 (edited) Ok now for the chain pile contest... The idea here is to forward/reverse the chain into the smallest pile in two minutes or under ...simple right? Not! required more tractor handling skills that you would imagine. Fast hydros rule this game although some guys had a nice one with a stick. A 30" pile or under is considered respectable, 24 or better your in the running... Dan had the money pile with a 23 1/2 incher on his 1076. We did this Friday nite for quite awhile then someone's alcohol infused brain had the idea to do it on Saturday after the parade and charge a buck to get in with the pot being split between the winner and donating towards show costs. Didn't pan out as well as we like with entrants but still managed to raise 11 clams for the WW II museum downtown. (Dan graciously donated his winnings!) Mike @prondzy trying his hand on a nice new to him tractor he scored at the show! Edited July 10, 2017 by WHX11 10
WHX?? 48,815 #18 Posted July 10, 2017 Some other show madness...Dan pulling wheelies on the rat rod & nite parade! Oh sorry that was Dan doing chain pile which often involved wheelies!

elcamino/wheelhorse 9,297 #20 Posted July 10, 2017 Thanks to everyone that sent pictures of this show. Looks like Steve on a Stick had a great time.I as wondering where Steve was. The last time he was sighted was at West Point , I was afraid that he had landed in the Stockade for drinking on duty. That looks like a great show , unfortunately toooooooooooooo far for this ole goat to travel. 7
