zeke37 24 #1 Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) Due to my ignorance I have no idea how this PTO should work. I know I am missing parts (spring) but I still can't figure how this engages. It was working before I installed the new belt. it seems like the bracket mounted on the motor is smaller than others posted. What does the bolt on the far right do? I know from the drawings that a spacer is needed. BTW this is a 1-0481 Edited June 16, 2017 by zeke37 wrong info
Ed Kennell 39,242 #2 Posted June 16, 2017 (edited) Move the cam bracket over so the bolt is in the hole in the bracket on the engine. That is where you need the bushing. Edited June 16, 2017 by Ed Kennell

gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,137 #4 Posted June 16, 2017 If the pto is driving a mower deck the belt is in the wrong groove. The inner groove will give a higher blade tip speed. Garry
TDF5G 2,069 #5 Posted June 19, 2017 My experience with the PTO is that all the parts must be in good condition and properly adjusted for best results. In your pic it appears that you're missing a spacer that goes on the 3/8 bolt in the triangular plate. With the spacer in there and the nut tightened, the plate should be more level, so the trunnion can be adjusted better for the clutch contact.
