I did put an electric actuator on the rear of my 310-8 to operate the clevis hitch . That is why I put this thread under this forum. My hope is it will grow like the "What's in your Mirror" posts so people can see all the cool mods that RedSquare folks have done over the years...I am already amazed what's posted in only a couple of days...

I realized that however, I thought it might be a good idea to devote a forum to modifications only and split up the current forum because of the wide interest in modifications. On my computer when a file gets really big I like to split it up into smaller files for better organization and to make it easier to find certain common groups of files and I believe that would work here too.

Well, I have lots but a few to mention are:

 

Heavy duty rear hitch.

 

Lifting rear hitch.

 

Snow blade stabilizer.

 

Front hitch made from old mule drive.

 

Ball bearing steering shaft Newer style.

 

Ball bearing steering shaft older style.

 

Converting all of my 520's to the older maroon style and appearance.

Of course Matt's foot control kits and all of Terry's great decals.

My version of the lifting rear hitch that is reversible for pin type hitches as well.  It's nice because you can back up to a trailer, raise the hitch to hook on to the trailer, and off you go without getting off the tractor.

This walk behind broom ended up as a Wheel Horse modification. There's a modified hammer mill attachment in the background too

So far the biggest Large Mouth I ever caught and it was let go right after that pic was taken. The plan was to meet her again someday but now the access to that lake is blocked off by the town. Quite a large fish for New England waters. Never actually weighed it but estimate about 10 lbs since it was as long as my arm.

Home built using the PF Engineering plans. Made a few modifications to the plans as it was built and I don't have any pics of the mount to the tractor. That question comes up a lot and I have a basic drawing of what I did somewhere.

The build was done back in 08 and the thread for it was one of my first posts on Red Square. Unfortunately the forum has changed since then and many of the old threads were lost or portions of them went missing.

@DennisThornton, the embossing/engraving was done with a C.A.D. program then transferred to a C.N.C. milling machine where I used a center drill or carbide spade bit to actually do the recessed engraving, here's a picture of the D.R.O. on the mill I did for the wife and I, Jeff. @Lane Ranger that drawbar you made for the 953 looks like the old Farmall/ Allis Chalmers style from the 50s cool MOD...

How did you attach the end of that foot control rod setup there to the hand control? I can't quite make it out in the picture.... ?
