Duramax7man7 506 #1 Posted May 31, 2017 (edited) Got a 36" tiller this past week. Finally got it hooked up today and the belt is too short for my 520h... I hooked one end on a doorknob and the other end around my finger and pulled it tight and measured it at 67" so I'm guessing it's about 139"? The Tiller ID tag says 07-36TL01 on it... Duramax7man7 506 #3 Posted May 31, 2017 Thanks. Local Shop has 142".. Would that be too long ad ruin performance of the tiller?
wheelhorseman 3,211 #4 Posted May 31, 2017 Which tiller belt tensioner do you have? Is it like this ????
Duramax7man7 506 #5 Posted May 31, 2017 No. It's the one with a 90 degree bracket
wheelhorseman 3,211 #6 Posted May 31, 2017 Part #110265 is the 141" belt.
Duramax7man7 506 #7 Posted May 31, 2017 Yep. But I was curious if a 142" belt would also be okay. A local shop has one.
WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #8 Posted June 1, 2017 My new Toro 141" belt has a tendency to pop off if I get into hard compacted soils so unless you kept it exactly where the soil has been plowed through I'd expect you to be unhappy with the longer belt, especially if you can't get enough tension on it at the idler assembly, Jeff.
Duramax7man7 506 #9 Posted June 1, 2017 Okay. Makes sense. I ordered a 141".
