36" Tiller belt length for 520h?

Recommended Posts

Duramax7man7

Got a 36" tiller this past week. Finally got it hooked up today and the belt is too short for my 520h... I hooked one end on a doorknob and the other end around my finger and pulled it tight and measured it at 67" so I'm guessing it's about 139"?

The Tiller ID tag says 07-36TL01 on it...

Thanks. Local Shop has 142".. Would that be too long ad ruin performance of the tiller?

No. It's the one with a 90 degree bracket

Yep. But I was curious if a 142" belt would also be okay. A local shop has one.

My new Toro 141" belt has a tendency to pop off if I get into hard compacted soils so unless you kept it exactly where the soil has been plowed through I'd expect you to be unhappy with the longer belt, especially if you can't get enough tension on it at the idler assembly, Jeff.
