Chris G 3,296 #1 Posted May 18, 2017 Well got them both up and going. Just a few minor touch ups. I didn't put the weights on either yet, or the plows but there done to. I also got new ag's for the front and back of the 702.

oliver2-44 9,929 #4 Posted May 18, 2017 Those look great together love the new red and old patina side by side, What finish is on the old suburban...oil?, wax? clear-coat?
Chris G 3,296 #5 Posted May 18, 2017 Thanks for the compliment. As for the suburban I sanded it lightly to get loose stuff off. Then I used the Eastwood patina preserver and topped it with one coat of rustoleum gloss.
oliver2-44 9,929 #6 Posted May 18, 2017 Thanks, I'll check out the Eastwood product, first time I've heard of it. Of course that's what's great about site, lots of info sharing
Chris G 3,296 #7 Posted May 18, 2017 Ya when I first looked it up I found it for about 15$ a can. But I shopped around and a local hardware store was able to get it for me for 9$ a can so I went with it. I added the gloss just cause I wanted it to have a touch more shine to it. But I will definitely use the product again. This is what it looks like.
