Well, after some carb work, another flush on the tranny and engine, some valve adjustments and amongst other things a fresh coat of Penetrol, here she is! I've mowed 5 decent sized yards now, and so far it's doing very well! It burns about a quart of oil every two house, a rebuild will be in order here sooner or later. Now I just need to go through the generator, a idler pulley for the transmission belt, a few odds and ends, and we should be set! I can't believe I got this for 100.00, I only intended to get the thing for the deck, I had no intentions of even using the tractor. Well.. can't complain! I'm also pretty sure this might be original paint. I can't find any overspray or masking marks. 6 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Achto 28,103 #2 Posted May 17, 2017 Looks good! To keep the oil consumption down until you get to rebuild the engine. Try using a 50/50 mix of 30wt and Lucas oil treatment, this may slow down your oil consumption. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
