Tgtack 779 #1 Posted May 1, 2017 I just got home after picking up a very nice model 1276 tractor, exhausting 10 hour round trip. It is in great shape, although incorrectly marked as a C120. Checked the tag as was happy to see it was a T1276. Runs great, nothing like the sound of a big one cylinder! Only issues I see with it is that it has a very nice new seat, but obviously not original, wrong decal designation, and Has the front pulley mount unit added for the newer style deck, and the deck does not attach properly with the rear lift rod. Super excited about getting one, I was six years old when sold new! Not a great picture, but all I have right now. rmaynard 15,436 #5 Posted May 1, 2017 That's an interesting horse. Something that strikes me right away is the Tach-A-Matic hitch and front mule drive. It was not available back in 1966, so it's either a newer frame or a bit of modification was done. The seat springs were added (nice touch), and it has the incorrect decals. More pictures may reveal other changes as well. Dr. Frankenstein would be proud. Still a great looking, but interesting horse. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Tgtack 779 #6 Posted May 1, 2017 Thanks Rmaynard, yes previous -2 owner added the front mule to use a newer deck although the lift rod does not work right with it. Tried to talk seller into swapping out the parts from one of ghe others, but no go, he did however knock off a $100 so I got it for $400. Hoping to figure out how to get the lift rod to work for now, and get the correct deck later. I should have taken a picture, that was a massive MTD, looked like it had a driveshaft off the motor? Was his father's mower, not for sale.
