Tgtack 779 #1 Posted May 1, 2017 I just picked up a really nice model 1276 tractor, but the only deck he had was a newer all belt driven style rear discharge. The tractor has the front mount pulley unit attached which was added. The question relates to the attachment points, in particular the rear hanger rod that lifts the deck. The bar in the center of the deck looks like it needs to be extended backward with holes that the lift rod would reach. Has anyone done this that can give me some advice/pictures? This is my first Wheel Horse by the way.
daveoman1966 3,745 #2 Posted May 1, 2017 You only need to install a 'Tach-o-Matic hitch onto the 1276 tractor and I have all the stuff for you to do that....takes less than an hour. I can send you all the details, if I had your email address.... tell me what that is and I will forward COMPLETE DETAILS.... squonk 41,021 #3 Posted May 1, 2017 I have the same tractor. I had to drill a hole in the deck center bar and used a chain to attach the deck to the lift arm. Not as precise as if the deck was made for the tractor but it did work. I only use this set up if my primary mower goes down so I don't have a pic.
953 nut 55,068 #4 Posted May 1, 2017 In your other post you mentioned the mule drive is already mounted, as Mike said a chain from the lift to an eye bolt through the deck will do the job. Very simple and secure.
Tgtack 779 #5 Posted May 1, 2017 953nut, do you happen to have a dimension of where to place the eyebolt and length of chain?

daveoman1966 3,745 #7 Posted May 1, 2017 For the 42 or 48" side disch decks, belt s/b # 102742 (94-2501)which is 103" long x 1/2" wide. I don't use aftermarket belts...they are not engineered correctly to match the shape of Whjeelhorse proprietary pulleys and will not last long.
