That's a nice cabinet, Ed. Lots of room in the drawers.

WHX??

You do know that is a file drawer for blueprints Ed. Nice job on the repurpose! Looks like it grew there. :handgestures-thumbupright: Find some roofing rubber and cut to fit the bottoms. Helps keep the tools from sliding around when opening and closing. Thin carpet is nice  too.

Drawers like that work good for storing gaskets.

Hey Jim, I keep my BAH right beside my BAV.

Yeah Jim, the guy that had these bought 60 of these blueprint cabinets and sold them for tool storage units.    Seems all the blueprints that were in those 60 cabinets are now on a couple discs.   I will line the drawers, just have to wait for something to show up at the auction.

Ed have you thought about drawer lining material for tool boxes ? They make it so it reduces rust. I know I have seen and purchased it from the big box store at starts with a L , I also think HF carries something similar. I lined by tool chest with it due to the high humidity down here. Now that I have seen your BAV , I have to take a picture. Give a week or two to clean the work bench off:D.

That drawer made a nice handy place to keep your inspection tools Jim.

I thought about putting mine in the new storage cabinet, but my pole barn isn't heated and I was concerned about the rust in damp weather, so I will keep them in my portable case in the inside shop where I work in the winter.

I bought one of the US General 6 drawer roller carts for the lathe and all it's stuff - one of those blueprint cabinets would have worked even better and could probably handle the weight just as well . Nice score , don't see those turn up too often anywhere...

Remember the printing room drawer units ? We actually had typesetting in high school here...many moons ago in my freshman year of Industrial Arts .
