12 hp Kohler 1,014 #1 Posted April 8, 2017 I picked this one up recently, it has the double blade mower deck instead of the single and has electric start, it runs well, but not sure if it drives haven't gotten to try it. other than the seat it is in excellent condition with an 11hp Briggs and Stratton. I got it from a lady that has been mowing with it for 40 years and was just ready to upgrade. Here are some pics.

Lee1977 6,660 #3 Posted April 8, 2017 They are tough keep them greased and there isn't much to go wrong with them. I have one that I used to mow rough areas. You will hate reverse if you have to backup much.

EricF 589 #8 Posted April 9, 2017 Never had any use on my own for a rear-engine rider, but those Snappers always tough little machines. The braces to stand them up on end for storage are nifty. I've got one of the Hi-Vac self-propelled mowers that my brother-in-law left in the yard after coming over to be helpful, and he never came back for it. That was probably eleven years ago... the darn thing just keeps running!

I found that out the hard way when I went to back thing out of the trailer, we had to pick up the back tires and drag it out. i really like he friction drive on the mower though, my dad has had two snappers and he says the friction drive is great. 14 hours ago, Digger 66 said: UPGRADE TO WHAT ? Luckily I won't have to give it back to her, the lady bought a late 90 used craftsman. it will definetly suit her needs a lot more.
