clueless 2,975 #1 Posted April 5, 2017 I've have both a clevis hitch and the older sleeve hitch with a clevis hitch insert. I'm going to put them on my 312-8 and my B80, nether have the rear rock shaft. The B80 has the cable and the trans tub, the 312 just has the tub, can get the cable from Lowell. My question is with out the rear rock shaft, how much weight can the hitch lift? I have a tiller, but the 416 (Onan) is already set up for it. I would be using these for attachments like my 10in plow, spreader, aerators, trailer, and disc.
WVHillbilly520H 10,373 #2 Posted April 5, 2017 Without the rock shaft it doesn't work the way it's supposed too, the cable pulls the rock shaft then the rockshaft in turns lifts the clevis hitch unless it's on the xi series, Jeff.

slammer302 2,155 #4 Posted April 6, 2017 I've used the plow with out the rocker shaft and it can be a pain and will put added stress on lifting assembly.
