Guys would anyone know Part # or size of the Half moon keyway i need for the hubs and axle on the  1in and 1/8 axle . hopeing i can get this at NAPA . and the little freeze plug on the side .  Thanks

To give you an accurate answer what's the model number of the tractor?

The freeze plug is in the side of the transmission?

Woodruff is a common one at any hardware store.

You must mean the capped bearing on the side of the transmission? It does look like a welsh or freeze plug to the untrained eye but it is actually part of the bearing cage itself. You would have to replace the bearing to seal it. Big but here.. if that is what you are talking about and somehow wore through you might have other issues happenin in that tranny such as a walking shaft or spun bearing??  Pic here would be worth a thousand words.

I will work on getting a picture ! i bought a raider 10 . BUT the rear end is out of newer 400 series ! the axles are leaking and he gave ,me the seals for it  . the Capped bearing you are talking about i will have to look into . he just said it needed a new freeze plug , because he had pulled it out

There are no freeze plugs in any of the Wheel Horse manual transmissions.  What you are referring to as a freeze plug is a capped, needle bearing which in your case (no pun intended)   would be on either end of the 11/44 toothed gear, one end of the cluster gear shaft, or one end of the input, splined shaft.  In any case, if that bearing has been compromised, you will need to open the case to replace it.  You do not need to open the case to replace any of the seals.

I know this looks like freeze plugs, but these are cap, needle bearings.

 

One other possibility that you may be talking about, is the little 1/4" hole that is used to place the detente balls and spring for the shift mechanism.  A dab of grease of silicone calk will take care of that.  Just a dab...don't fill it.

Here is a parts list for one of the transmissions used in the 400-Series.

 

The Woodruff key is a #22 and the Toro number is 937108. It is listed as 1/4" x 1-3/8 but it will be shorter than that. The sizes listed are for the size of the cutter that cuts the groove. It should be 1.362" long.

 

If you go to look an axle key up they are with the tires and wheels and hubs of the tractor parts lists.
