Pullstart 62,829 #151 Posted March 27, 2021 Looking at post 1 in this thread, I see that this loader came from a GT-14 originally. I could use that as an excuse to build that GT, or just keep going on the Xi. Xi it is! Here is a picture copied from Duke, post #1.
Pullstart 62,829 #152 Posted March 29, 2021 I have an idea on how the pump will mount. Now to make it happen!
8ntruck 6,998 #153 Posted March 29, 2021 Cool. Who did the cutouts? They look like laser cuts.

They came with the loader along with a jump drive. The drive I thought it was... ended up somehow being a friend’s financial statements! That was promptly returned to him! Now if I could find the drive I’m looking for...
Pullstart 62,829 #155 Posted March 29, 2021 Found the jump drive! Looking through pictures, I realized quick that some of the gussets need to be added still to the bucket brackets.
Pullstart 62,829 #156 Posted March 29, 2021 (edited) Before I cut the plates, I figured I’d ask. @JoeM @Shynon Does the plate with the large hole look like it could bolt up to the front of the engine? @HorseFixer Duke, if you see this... any insight on the big hole plate? JoeM 7,872 #157 Posted March 29, 2021 Kevin I think it is for a different configured pump. Something older style with a larger mounting flange.?? This was the OE pump bracket I used. 1 1
Pullstart 62,829 #158 Posted March 29, 2021 @JoeM thanks for the pics! In your build I see you mentioned that the engine is tilted back. I’ll be sure to measure that before I finish the brackets!

Pullstart 62,829 #160 Posted March 30, 2021 (edited) The mule/pump mount is finished welding! Time to deburr it, splash some paint and move on! Edited March 30, 2021 by pullstart Pictures

I could be wrong but I'm thinking your gonna have to remove material in front of that bracket for the pump pulley.

I thought about that, but decided to leave it as a guard. I found a random belt that fits everything well, with room for adjustment.
Pullstart 62,829 #163 Posted March 31, 2021 @Shynon I discuss that pulley / plate interference in this video...
Pullstart 62,829 #164 Posted April 1, 2021 I found some tabs for the mid mount tach-a-matic and some repurpose materials to build the subframe...
Pullstart 62,829 #165 Posted April 1, 2021 The front is tacked up. Now I’ll slide it under and see how it all looks.

Pullstart 62,829 #167 Posted April 1, 2021 I think I have everything positioned to where I like. Overkill of a valve? Naw!!!! I’ll take a quick lunch break and see how much further I can get.
Pullstart 62,829 #168 Posted April 1, 2021 After measuring my upright location and width, it’s back on the bench. I cut and drilled some rear crossmembers. They will get this weight bench bar welded in for permanent weight holders. 1
Pullstart 62,829 #169 Posted April 4, 2021 I have the second rear crossmember cut and drilled, the upright support cut to length and the angle iron tabs cut as well.
Pullstart 62,829 #170 Posted April 5, 2021 Rear crossmembers are tacked in. Time for the loader uprights support! 1

bmsgaffer 2,043 #173 Posted April 6, 2021 @pullstart So glad to see you carrying on the torch of this build! Looks like it is moving, cant wait to see it come together! 1
Pullstart 62,829 #174 Posted April 6, 2021 I enjoyed watching Duke work his magic during his part of the build, it’s pretty cool to be able to keep going on it. I am very excited to put the brute force and hydrostatic power of the Xi together with these hydraulics and create a true worker!
Pullstart 62,829 #175 Posted April 6, 2021 Making progress today... I’m practicing my TIG welding skills on this one. It’s not the prettiest by far, but good enough to get dirty.
