T McCool   287 #5 Posted March 22, 2017 In all honesty I have no idea haha. I just chomp at the bit as usual. I believe early spring is a good time to do it though. Makes sense to me at least. cschannuth   3,817 #7 Posted April 3, 2017 You can do it in the spring but most don't if you plan to over seed. This is crabgrass season and crabgrass preventer, which is recommended this time of year, will stop any new grass seed from growing. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
