Skid Shoes

Recommended Posts

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the holes in the lower outside corners of my snow blade are for skid shoes. Anyone know where I might find some shoes for it?

Thanks

:twocents-02cents:        Wish I had a picture of it, but a friend years ago mounter a couple of bed frame legs on a snow plow and used bed casters, cheap (or free) to replace and he got a full season out of a pair of them.

I think this summer I'm going to pull the ones off my Ariens walk-behind and weld on a length of one of my old carbide ski runners from the sled .

These things wear out waaay too fast .

Here's the factory ones (black) and a set (raw steel) I made at work not to hard to do even without a machine shop full of mills and lathes , ones mounted on blade are painted one I made has extra "lift" for gravel work, Jeff.

Always Check Ebay and if no luck you probably could make those.  I just wish my 1967 plow had the mounts for it. Hope this helps.

@Tankman, that's basically what is on my Economy blade I converted over for my Kioti, you can see them peeking out from under the cutting edge, Jeff.
