HamptonT 33 #1 Posted March 14, 2017 Are these good tines or worn tines? In your opinion? Thanks
WHX?? 48,763 #2 Posted March 14, 2017 Not too shabby IHO... I would think you will get some use out of them.
kasey54 305 #3 Posted March 14, 2017 Id say they are about 3/4 of perfect. Good life left.
pfrederi 17,663 #4 Posted March 14, 2017 They are good. When the end is almost pointed instead of flat then they are shot.
ACman 7,618 #5 Posted March 14, 2017 I don't know if it's possible because of warpage but you might be able to have the edges hard surfaced welded . This could prolong the life of the tines (I herd they're expensive) If you're worried about wear . Maybe @TIGman or @Sarge could chime in with their welding experience ?
Sarge 3,463 #6 Posted March 15, 2017 For the cost of hard surface rod , I'd just cut off a section of the ends and weld on some tougher steel . From what I've seen the tines are just made from regular 60XXpsi variety...going to one of the spring steels would help. Sarge
