Kerry67 20 #1 Posted March 9, 2017 Hey everyone, brand new guy here and also brand new to the tractor thing. Been into hot rods / classic cars forever but just sold it and bought a ranch with my girl, got a horse and am really enjoying it. Bought a tractor (craftsman) to do the arena drag and that led me to thinking that I can't do the hot rod thing anymore, perhaps a vintage tractor would be cure my urge, so I started looking around and it IS cool! Does not seem to be too many out here in Arizona however. If anyone has anything, knows of one or can give me some info on shipping or transporting, that would be great. Cheers!

T-Mo-(Moderator) 4,496 #3 Posted March 9, 2017 I know some guys use Fastenal to ship things. As long as there is a Fastenal near you and near the seller, and the seller is willing to pallet it and take it to their local Fastenal store. Some Fastenal stores, though, don't do the shipping thing I believe. Then there is U-ship, but that may cost you more. Again, welcome to RS.
953 nut 55,156 #5 Posted March 9, 2017 There are a few people in your area listed on the "Member Map", don't know how active they are but you may want to send each of them a "Personal Message" and see if they may want to sell off part of their herd. Nothing ventured nothing gained.

N3PUY 1,031 #7 Posted March 9, 2017 Hey Kerry, This is the RatRod I put together. Big Kohler under the hood. Stretched and lowered. Only one side pipe though.
wallfish 16,994 #8 Posted March 9, 2017 Vintage tractor stuff can be just as fun as hot rods and rat rods. You just go slower that's all. Find yourself an old Wheel Horse and get in on the action!

oliver2-44 9,725 #12 Posted March 21, 2017 I'vr use Fastenal shipping a couple of times for work and tractor stuff, a . About 18 months ago it seemed the changed to a minimum price of $150. it doesn't appear to matter if it's from the East cost to Texas or the far side of Texas to me $500 100lb or 500lb cost $150 2x2ft pallet or 4x4 pallet $150. I'm sure if it were larger or extra heavy there would be some point to reach an up charge. Overall good service, usually takes about a week.
