Recommended Posts

2000 312-H. it is a 42'' deck. is it suppose to have belt and pulley covers on the 2 outside pulley's?  only had this WH for a week and it came with the snow blower mounted on it. it dawned on me today that it has no covers on the deck.

First, Welcome to Red Square  :)  The answer to your question is "yes" it should have covers on the belt (s) and pulleys.  If you have the model number for your deck, TORO may still have them...seeing how old your deck is.  If you click on the link I am going to add here, you should be able to search out the manual for your deck and find the part numbers.  Once you know the part numbers, you could put an ad in our "classified" section, and it may be one of our members has what you need.  :)

A tip for the link stevasaurus provided.

Just above the first result that comes up is a gray bar that shows there is 24 pages. At the right side of that bar is a tab "Sort by". Open that and click on "Title". Then the results will come up in chronological order.

(When you first get there the files come up in the order they were added to the library with the latest first which means nothing to anybody.)

thanks guy's,went to pick up plow yesterday and lady had the parts catalog for the mowing deck and the 42'' snowblower.the deck is a 37'' model 0537SC03. 1991 is the year.no covers over belt pulley. i guess they figure the steps hide them . the mower deck is in nice shape top and bottom.the snow blower is mounted to tractor. works  and looks like new.she had some extra parts for blower and i don't know what else .looking at blower  parts list i found a  rt side plate called wrapper assembly, assy auger shaft, and  a new top plate where the wheel horse decal  goes. the other parts i will have to figure out. can i get a new brake band?the one on tractor looks a little thin and i am trying to adjust the ER brake so it works. i don,'t know how thick the lining is on new band compared to what i got [ less then 1/16'']  the brake does stop the tractor but it could be better. 2000 312-H    Jerry

If someone could provide belt cover dimensions, easy enough for a local sheetmetal shop.

Most likely, inexpensive too.

Years ago, I made several 316 SS decks. Painted Rustoleum Regal Red.

Looked great but, magnets wouldn't stick?   :ROTF:

Down in the "Vender's" Section, @rmaynard sells the brake band liner replacements.  Here is the link.  :)

I would love a SS deck.

It may be heavy but would last forever so long as it didn't crack.

Great idea.

How did you form them or did you make them like the 60" deck ?

Finished SS decks were just as heavy as CRS (cold rolled steel).

Copied and formed (press brakes) the deck as close as possible. Parts were TIG welded together as required.

Most of the decks, 16 gauge 316 SS however, some parts were heavier; i.e.: wheel supports. 1/4" SS.

Wheel axles, 316 SS rod. Machined parts were made in our machine shop.

SS isn't going to crack. SS is corrosion resistant.

Parts were formed on press brakes. Holes punched on presses; NC (numerical control).

I might ad, I was the foreman is a large shop manufacturing corrosion resistant chemical tanks; titanium, hastelloy, stainless steel.

Thought titanium (?) but the light material tends to crack along formed lines.

Before becoming the foreman, I was the prototype layout man. Local WH dealer said, "Wow!" after seeing my Horses.

I felt like Johnny Cash!

Don't see belt covers? Didn't find one on Toro's web site either (P/N 05-37SC03).
