Thegearhead0324 1,255 #1 Posted March 7, 2017 Hi all. Very proud to say I made it 6 hours round trip to pick up a sickle mower that's all original. Will post pics later on. Model number is 7 1312 7. Can't wait to start redoing it.

12 hp Kohler 1,014 #5 Posted March 7, 2017 That's a nice find they don't come up very often
Thegearhead0324 1,255 #6 Posted March 7, 2017 Yea... especially in the same state. I saw one mounted on another tractor but it was in Ohio and wasn't driving that far. A gentleman saw my want ad 3 hours away and was nice enough to want to let it go. He also has a bunch more tractor parts, has a deck for parts, has alot of tractors and parts besides WH. Him and his wife were very friendly and very good people. Had to bring my daughter cuz she was sick so unfortunately it was a short visit. It was a good trip, good people, and good purchase. Can't ask for more.

The nut goes on the end of the pivot pin that bolts on the opposite end of the pulley, inside the wobble box
Thegearhead0324 1,255 #10 Posted March 9, 2017 Hmm... I looked all over, even in the diagrams and can't find where the nut goes.
Thegearhead0324 1,255 #11 Posted March 9, 2017 I looked at both the 42" exploded diagram and the 50" diagram, is there a way to point it out?
Shynon 7,459 #12 Posted March 9, 2017 (edited) Item # 7 is the 3/4" pivot pin and #8 is the nut inside the wobble box. Edited March 9, 2017 by Shynon
Thegearhead0324 1,255 #14 Posted March 9, 2017 Ohh... you're talking about the handle pivot pin. I just looked and it was hard to tell because the pin is threaded so far out that it's just a hole looking from inside the box lol. Thank you for helping me clear that up. WHX?? 48,763 #15 Posted March 9, 2017 Your welcome.....Just in case you don't have it already this is for the 50" but should be close.
Thegearhead0324 1,255 #16 Posted March 9, 2017 I got it thank you for pointing out the nut and location of it guys. I would have been clueless putting it back together all over a nut.
Thegearhead0324 1,255 #17 Posted March 10, 2017 Unfortunately no pictures yet.... but I got it in pieces. Sharpened and cleaned the blades, took all the pieces off the bar to clean, cleaned all the grease, grass, and grime off the wobble box and handle. Just gotta clean few more parts then time for primer.
Thegearhead0324 1,255 #18 Posted March 13, 2017 Got most of it primered. Big improvement from dirty grassy rusty parts to clean and presentable metal. Fixed 2 stuck pulleys, straightened out a few bent pieces of metal, and hammered down 2 loose blades. Can't wait for paint.
Thegearhead0324 1,255 #19 Posted March 14, 2017 Had to order a drive pulley for the k301 because I have the manual pto on it and no way the belt would line up. Also ordered a grass rod for the sickle bar I just realized it was missing.
Adams94 1,068 #22 Posted March 20, 2017 What is the going prices on a good original sickle like this? thanks
Thegearhead0324 1,255 #23 Posted March 20, 2017 It depends on the seller, and condition. I did research and got a good buy with mine being all complete. With that said.... depending on condition, completeness, and if in working order, I'd ballpark anywhere between 200 to 650. That's from research I've done for a long while.
