Engine pulley size for 1075

Recommended Posts

I bought a 1075 with no engine and just want to use it lightly and mount a sprayer on it. I put a 6,5 Harbor Freight in with a 4" pulley noting the fact that the rear pulley on this machine is much smaller than the one on an Electro 12.  I fired it up and got an estimated 2 revs per second at the wheels. On 21 inch diameter tires that equates to about 7.5 miles an hour.  I did not take the time to be precise about measuring the RPM of the tires because of the danger of running the engine inside the shop.. The pulley on the engine is 4" and the transmission pulley is maybe 3.5"

Just knowing the proper engine pulley would make this easier, but as long as a somewhat faster input to the Sundstrand transmission is not damaging, i might just want to run it like it is.  Knowing the rated top speed of the unit would also be helpful.

This link may be helpful in determining ground speed ....not sure if it would apply to the sundstrand auto trans though.
