HD-42 decals

I just finished up an HD-42 plow with the RJ mount. Just need the decal/decals for it now. I think I've seen a few with a decal on the upper left on the back side of the blade but I don't recall the type of decal. Does anyone know exactly what the original decal/decals are and their placement on the plow or mounts?

Thanks. I posted something in the decal section 4-5 days ago and haven't heard anything back... figured I would try here. I'm also pretty familiar with his website but it didn't have much info. I'm sure he has what I'm looking for, I just want to make sure I'm ordering the right thing. I'll try and pm him.

It could be difficult to determine where they put the decals at the factory. My guess would be that they weren't consistent with placement. I'm sure you'll get some thoughts on it. I must say that you did a great job on that as well as the cart in the picture.

I figured this may be the case. I've seen different decals in different spots on them.. then again I think in 61 or 62 they changed the model from HD42 to BD something or other. Which may be just a bit different with a different decal. 

 

Thanks. I went a bit overboard with color sanding and buffing. But why not right? 

Thanks @wildman. I had every intention of restoring it to a usable condition but I got a bit carried away with the paint work. It'll probably spend it's days as eye candy for me. But that's what I said about the tractor, the mower deck, and the dump cart. It's pretty hard to keep a wheel horse off the grass!

Thanks AMC. It came out pretty slick I will admit! But I may be the only person on the planet to put that kind of shine on the business end of a plow blade. Ha!

The quality of that paint shows you really care about it - craftsmanship is disappearing from our World and around here it's really appreciated . That level of shine and detail will also help material roll off easier - it's not a bad thing to use it and a new top coat isn't that tough to do once a year or two...

Thanks Sarge. And that's not a bad way to look at it! The only real problem I have now is finding snow. It's hard to come by out here in west texas.

The front blades are so handy for so many things I always have at least 1 machine with a blade on it year 'round - even during mowing season for moving dirt/rock/gravel and such , or pushing something around that doesn't want to move very well, lol . Biggest task is snow/dirt work - I grade the local little league ball diamond infield and use it to push up piles of lawn debris out at the Village burn pile a lot too ...no one seems capable of dumping their grass/sticks/leaves into the pile , but along the side of the township road ...talk about being lazy with a gift from the Village to dispose of waste ! I keep the pile cleaned up so we don't lose a place to get rid of yard debris , always hated having a burn pile/barrel here anyway and we get a lot of branches year 'round .
