pfrederi 17,895 #3 Posted March 1, 2017 I assume there was ATF in there previously...That would most likely make this a Sundstrand. with a hydro lift it needs 5 qts

Not sure what was in it I was told by a friend he thought tag the pump works feels like diff locks up after moving forward and reverse for about 3 feet. pfrederi 17,895 #10 Posted March 3, 2017 Release the tow valve and try pushing her a good distance. Does it still lock up? D series had issues with the bolts that hold the differential together failing then getting jammed between the differential bull gear and the case.. If it locks up do not use excessive force you can crack the transaxle case. If it did lock up while pushing you will probably hae to remove the transaxle and split the case.. You should download the sundstrand manual. http://www.wheelhorseforum.com/files/file/24-transmission-hydro-sundstrand-sm-492-4206pdf/
