pbwfury 3 #1 Posted February 28, 2017 First off I would like to say hello, so hello, second of all I just bought a 1988 (I think) 308-8 and I'm having a real hard time removing the tank from the 8hp kohler engine. The 300 series brochure says 36" RD/37" SD, but others may have differing opinions on what they can power with their 8hp horses. Oh, about your location. We quite frequently go out to Deep Creek Lake. We've been known to take side trips up to Ohiopyle. Visited Falling Waters in summer of '14. pbwfury 3 #12 Posted March 2, 2017 I have two decks from my broken C 120 a rear and side will they fit? 42 inch ? Does that sound about right in size?Also my family has a vacation rental it's in Chalk Hill you go thru it on route 40, it was our home place it's on Facebook call the Victorian Orchard, you might have driven by it who knows? clueless 3,027 #14 Posted March 2, 2017 The 8hp will run a 42" rear discharge as long as your not cutting thick high stuff, 4" or higher. Used one on my first WH B80 4SP for 12 years, still the best grass cutting tractor I've ever owned, just keep the blades sharp. also when you get to some thick patches just ride the clutch a little to slow down, no need to change gears. pbwfury 3 #15 Posted March 2, 2017 Ok great thank you guys! The kohler gave up the ghost. Just picked up the 308 to swap engines but decided to fix it and use it instead. I plan on fixing the 120 looking for another engine or tear the old one down to see what the issue is. I think it's the connecting rod or cap came off the crank. The engine will turn over but the piston does not move, I can tell by looking down into the spark plug hole. Thank you all for your help! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
