I had a Suburban in high school and a roller a few years back. I also have the Suburban I am restoring now. 1 hour ago, wallfish said: Curious because there has never been an original tag shown with RJ-59 on it, just RJ-58. I could definitely see the RJ and thought I saw a 5 but I will have to look again. I will get a pic of tag but its in ok shape.

I am curious as to why you are sorry? As I have read here, everyone thought this was a fantastic deal! (Me included, but I just didn't chime in) I think you got a winner there and for a good price. The bolt for the plow bracket went right across it . I was ab Le to decider what I thought was 18352 on the serial and RJ on the model. I couldn't tell if there was a 5 after the RJ, but wallfish said only 58 was shown in 58 and only RJ for 59. Ironically the manual is for RJ58? I dunno, based on what I've researched it's a 59. AMC RULES 37,130 #37 Posted March 6, 2017 Just another opportunity here... to view the ever elusive '59 RJ model ID tag.
slim67 2,735 #38 Posted March 6, 2017 Here is the pic of the tag. I dont know if the missing sections are from trying to get the paint off or not. The plow bracket bolt went across the tag to the right a bit. As I said earlier, I beleive what I see on serial # is 18352 and can faintly make out RJ. Whomever painted the tractor, didnt paint over the shift pattern of all things. The tag is lifting a little off the frame on the right side also. Does anyone think it is wise to try and remove the tag and put with the rest of the paperwork? I know that may sound like a really stupid question and I have thick skin so please feel free to say so, but Im just wondering at this point if it could be any worse? 12 hp Kohler 1,014 #40 Posted March 7, 2017 I would remove the tag since it is already coming of so it doesn't fall of when your driving the tractor around and things

slim67 2,735 #42 Posted August 18, 2022 I spent the last few weeks finding time freshening this RJ up for a show this weekend. I decided a little late but fortunately will have it ready. It’s not going to win any prizes but I’m happy with the results. I still plan on driving it around and having fun with it. If I can’t do that then it’s got to go. It’s been long, long overdue. 8 1

The unidrive tag was still there when I removed the toolbox/ fenders. I didn’t have time to strip them but probably will in the future. I like the look without them. 1

Darrenw85 618 #46 Posted August 19, 2022 If you don't mind driving to Youngstown there is a place called Guy's Graphics that will do a nice job on the lettering. I have taken several hoods and engine shrouds there to have lettered. 1 1
