19richie66 17,508 #457 Posted August 9, 2018 @RandyLittrell i used JB Weld metal epoxy and two brass pipe plugs. I took a file and cleaned/ruffed up the inside of the holes, then flapped wheeled the outside to get all the paint off. Applied the the epoxy to the threaded part of the plug and the hole. I held the plug where I wanted it till it set up. Once they had set up, I took a cutoff wheel and cut the square head off and drilled another small hole through the middle of the plug. This let the second coat of epoxy flow through the plug and made it solid front and back. After it dried for a day or so, I filed, sanded and primed. Pretty simple actually. It comes off the head but goes straight out because of the way its made. I'll get a picture tomorrow after I get it back. My son is welding the filler neck and vent/outlet bungs on it tomorrow. When we visited Richie last year Zach (a fellow GT-14 owner) got some seat time on Skittles… after taking a few laps, he too was convinced how awesome it is… GREAT build Richie!
