Ed Kennell 38,951 #1 Posted February 23, 2017 Nah, It was 72 degrees here today and I cut two dead blue spruce and needed a horse to drag em to the burn pile. The 520 blower happens to be at the front of the line, so he got the call.

Ed Kennell 38,951 #3 Posted February 23, 2017 Gotcha Jack. Yeah, I really could have done without that heated cab today, but the blower was at the door.

I won't put the snow machines in summer storage till April. We are supposed to get that cold front on Sat and Sun. , but snow ??

squonk 41,585 #7 Posted February 24, 2017 What? You didn't use the blower as a chipper?
Ed Kennell 38,951 #8 Posted February 24, 2017 1 hour ago, squonk said: What? You didn't use the blower as a chipper? You know I considered that Mike. With the chute rotator and deflector, I could have spread the mulch as it was chipping. Probably would have to change out the rubber auger paddles for some sharpened knives. Hey, this is starting to sound like another MAD MAX project.
shallowwatersailor 3,213 #9 Posted February 24, 2017 I did the same thing last weekend only "Cisco" has a dozer blade mounted. We were cleaning up the property alongside the road. It also consisted of removing a thorn bush (wear gloves!) that Mrs. Sailor has been complaining about. One thing though is that a 518xi with a snow cab on it, is not mean't to be driven when it is 72 degrees outside. Too hot!

Ed Kennell 38,951 #11 Posted February 25, 2017 Hey John, today was also cleanup day for me. And you are right, a cab, especially a heated cab on a 520 is not fun on a day when the temp is 76 degrees . So I opted for my "other snow machine". The blade really came in handy to push the duff aside to make room to dump the next load.
