Justy37 41 #1 Posted February 13, 2017 (edited) Hello, I am hoping another member here with a 953/1054, has some pictures or can show how the cable that lifts the hitch is routed. My 953 does not have the cable, nor the pipe above the axle that guides it. From looks of it, at one time it did have one. But they replaced the cable with a piece of chain bolted to the axle, which holds up the hitch. Thought being the 953 is capable for a somewhat hydraulic hitch lift. I could get that working for a moldboard one bottom plow. Edited February 13, 2017 by Justy37

Justy37 41 #7 Posted February 14, 2017 That's good parts are available. Still need to figure out how cable is routed and connected to rocker shaft.
Justy37 41 #8 Posted February 15, 2017 (edited) Well I got it done. Fired up the lathe and made a tube out of solid rebar round stock. Made a cable with my cable air crimper. Tomorrow will fab up a another hitch to replace the slot hitch. Will make the identical step with a 2.5" receiver. This is not a 953 transmission, but for the purpose of this question it will get the job done. The conduit that the cable runs through from the rocker shaft to the slot hitch has a clamp that attaches to the top of the transmission and is bolted to one of the threaded holes on the top.
