The temp range in my cabin is about 30F. 55 in the bedroom farthest from the wood stove. 85 with your feet propped on the hearth. adsm08 2,215 #306 Posted January 19, 2020 Ice. We got ice. There was under an inch of snow yesterday, then in the evening it turned to ice. I tried to plow this morning but my blade couldn't even break the ice.

Herder 2,354 #312 Posted January 21, 2020 Glad you enjoy your seat time but men you get a lot for snow. Here is central NY so far this winter we've only had about 8" total. And that's OK.
1995 520H+96+97 937 #313 Posted November 7, 2020 (edited) No repairs or maintance needed on these Toro 520H. 520H are very reliable, comfortable, trouble free tractors. Only work is to haul my stump grinder with the 1988 520H. If the weather gets any better I will have to put the 60" mower back on the 1995 Toro 520H. Same paved driveway, with proper maintance, since 1998. Snowblowed with the same, never left the property, chained up 1996 520H. By the way the windows are open and there is a nice breeze in the house for lunch break. Edited November 7, 2020 by 1995 520H+96+97 1

1995 520H+96+97 937 #317 Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) Sweep 1/2" dry, fluffy snow. Plow with instant starting 1995 Toro 520H, 2300 RPM, in its original state. The quad spring plow did slightly trip, pavement is starting to heave, at the safe speed I always travel. Sweep again snow shower dusted. 1995 520H+96+97 937 #318 Posted January 9, 2021 (edited) Snowblow bank with 1997 Toro 520H, also instant starting, in its original state. The 1996 Toro 520H, the 1995 Toro 520H, and the 1988 Wheelhorse 520H, also instant starting, are ready, willing and capable of fulfilling their duties, are not watching to see if the 1997 fails, they are there to maybe learn something. The 1993 GMC Sierra club coupe, also instant starting and original state, has their back. Edited January 9, 2021 by 1995 520H+96+97 2

cleat 6,667 #322 Posted January 10, 2021 we run our house to 64 in the day and 61 at night during the winter. Keeps heating costs down, just wear a sweater. In the summer we either keep the windows open or sometimes turn on the AC when the outside temps hit 85 and set the AC to 74
1995 520H+96+97 937 #323 Posted January 10, 2021 I was awaken from my nap, window open in bedroom, by the horses (all 520H) scraping the ground and whining. Seems snow fell off the horse barn and the horses all (520H) were well fed, relaxed, and ready for work. I did use the 1997 520H, for no other reason, it was the furthest from the job site, which requires more Seat Time Again.
1995 520H+96+97 937 #324 Posted January 11, 2021 Snowblow trail to firewood racks to add to the wood pile in the cellar, for next year. No snow, or cold weather in the forecast. 1996 Toro 520H, 1/2 gallon gas, 66 degrees in cab, 2500 RPM.
