TIGman 2,006 #1 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) Yep I went and picked up 2 more tractors, Simplicity this time. A 1964 9 hp Landlord 314 with snow thrower. And a 1967 10 hp Landlord 2010. The gentleman gave me the 10 hp Briggs&Stratton extra engine and the Allis Chalmers mower deck. He made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Not to worry, I have 2 more tractors in my sights. slim67 2,735 #2 Posted February 11, 2017 Sweet! i pulled a gas tank out of one of those at a salvage yard recently for my project. Simplicity is second to none IMO. I believe Allis-Chalmers put their name on Simplicity to sell back in the day. Those non-refusal offers are tough arent they?
Elkskin's mower junkyard 1,117 #3 Posted February 11, 2017 That engine that is a 10hp isnt a kohler. Its a cast iron Briggs.
TIGman 2,006 #4 Posted February 11, 2017 Yep that's correct. Meant to say Briggs but 70+ hours a week has taken a toll on the Old Guy....lol.

Amcwheel85 2,059 #6 Posted March 15, 2017 Nice find! I had a few simplicity's a few years back. Had a 1968 2110 that I slightly built for pulling and I loved that thing, named "plain n simple" only thing I didn't like is most every one I had the carb leaked!
