Blasterdad 2,679 #2 Posted February 10, 2017 Pretty sure there is something wrong with that shovelhead, it's not "marking it's spot". You might want to check that out....

ohiofarmer 3,265 #9 Posted February 11, 2017 (edited) If there is no salt on the roads, I am out there riding. Now don't get me wrong---no way would i ride bikes like you guys are showing here in any bad weather but .I just cannot stand not being on a motorcycle even down in the low 20's. I do it on an old Honda 750 with that [some would say ugly] old Vetter fairing and non heated clothing. I think that being out in the cold actually keeps one from getting sick, because I rarely get colds or flu and when i do they rarely last more than a day or two. One of the best rides I ever took was a 180 miler to a Harbor freight for a specific tool I needed. It started out at 31 degrees and was about 25 at completion. There is nothing to describe the way everything looks on a lightly overcast day with the sun setting at your back, painted in sepia tones. Out in the middle of Nowhere Indiana came a school bus followed by a caravan of cars. Right out of the movie "Hoosiers" it was. Digger 66 3,478 #11 Posted February 11, 2017 Sold my bikes back when yapping on the phone became more important than paying attention to the road & others . Do I miss it ? Absolutely ! Had a '79 Sportster "slammed" My Thumper '82 XL500R Now I get my kicks on 4 wheels . If I mess up there , it's probably gonna be my fault ONLY

Do I miss it ? Absolutely. Same here. Sold my Goldwing about 4 yrs. ago. Of course a knee & shoulder operation had a little to do with it. Now Arthur Ritus has taken over my left thumb so bad I couldn't operate a clutch lever all day.
